Girl Talk’s Big New’s

Posted on: August 9, 2007

Hey Everyone!

The Girl Talk team is working furiously behind the scenes to bring you some exciting news! The finalists for the Reel Girls, Real Life create your own TV commercial have been selected. I want to thank all the girls who submitted their ideas. We received some amazing videos on how to help fight drunk driving and underage drinking! After a round of voting from our celebrity panel, we have finally narrowed down our field to 6 lucky girls.

Now WE NEED YOUR HELP. It’s up to you to help decide the winner and whose Girl Talk TV commercial will be professionally produced and aired nationwide! Here’s what you do; visit from August 15th to September 5th, watch the finalist videos, and vote for your favorite! Can’t wait to check out the videos? You can preview our finalist’s video right now at but be sure to come back and vote beginning August 15th!

Starting next week I’ll also be featuring each finalist’s video right here on my blog. Be sure to keep checking back for more details!

And don’t forget about The National Soccer Hall Of Fame. I’ve been talking about for weeks now (I’m so excited!); Girl Talk is a proud presenter of this year’s Soccer Hall of Fame induction in Oneonta, NY. The induction will be held on August 26th. It is especially fitting for Girl Talk to present the induction ceremony because this year’s induction is the first ever women-only player class. U. S. Women’s National Team stars, two-time Olympic Gold Medalists, and two-time World Cup Champions Mia Hamm and Julie Foudy will be honored by induction into the Hall of Fame. Both women exemplify Girl Talk’s mission to empower teenage girls to lead active, healthy lives and make smart choices.

I’ll be blogging from the Soccer Hall of Fame during the induction weekend August 25th and 26th, and we’re planning on posting a few other surprises from the ceremony right here Myspace and on Keep checking in and with for updates on what we’ll be doing that weekend and for live updates from me.

That’s all for now,
